Richard qualified as a silversmith at Sheffield City Polytechnic in 1979, before working as a metals conservator with Peter Smith R&R Ltd and Plowden & Smith. He founded Richard Rogers Conservation Ltd in 2005 and now leads Conservation Consultants Ltd, based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Working with a small team of conservators and specialists, the company undertakes conservation projects of all sizes throughout the UK and internationally. Collection surveys, condition reports and conservation consultancy form an important part of our work.
